Hello, my name is Tayeeb Huda Jailani. I am thrilled to join the School of Freedom program, bringing over three years of tutoring experience, particularly in math and English, with a focus on helping students achieve academic success. I recently completed AP Calculus BC, solidifying my strong foundation in advanced mathematical concepts, and have excelled in several AP English courses, including AP Language & Composition and Seminar. As a former English language learner, I deeply understand the challenges of language acquisition and am passionate about supporting students as they overcome these barriers.
Academically, I am proud to maintain a GPA of 4.475, and I have been recognized by my school’s English department multiple times for my exceptional writing skills. Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of tutoring in various settings, including summer school sessions and Saturday academies, where I've honed my teaching methods to support students' diverse needs effectively.
Beyond academics, I actively serve as a youth advocate and speaker within the Afghan-American community, partnering with the International Rescue Committee to lead a team of advocates addressing social issues, such as substance abuse, within our community. At school, I hold leadership roles as the president of both the Cultural Club and the Muslim Student Association, promoting cultural diversity and inclusivity. Additionally, as a member of my school’s Muslim Committee, I work on policies that impact the daily lives of Muslim students, striving to create a supportive environment.
In my personal time, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym at least three times a week and taking evening walks to unwind. My passion for mathematics and problem-solving drives my future aspiration to pursue a career in engineering, where I hope to make a positive impact.
